Sha Tin College 1:1 Laptop Programme

Dear Parent/Guardian,

We are excited to be welcoming your child to Sha Tin College in Year 7, starting August 2017. You will be aware that we are a 1:1 laptop school, operating a single-model programme in Years 7-9. This means that each year the school operates a tender process for the best deal we can procure to maximise student learning. Over the years, we have been able to refine the model to provide a fully supported programme that minimises any difficulties students and parents have supporting the laptop. As the tender process is underway, we are not able at this time to provide details of the chosen model, but will write to you later this academic year with that information.

All students entering Sha Tin College in Year 7 will purchase the laptop at the start of the school year, via the induction pack that will be sent in the summer. The laptops will then be delivered and distributed to parents at a distribution evening, normally in October.

At this time, there is no need for you to do anything. However, please do not purchase a laptop for your child in advance of further communication from us about the school laptop. Only laptops purchased through the school are to be used as part of the Sha Tin College 1:1 programme.
