Year 12 Higher Education Days

Dear Parents / Guardians of Year 12 Students,

With only a few weeks left before the end of Year 12, we are very keen to ensure that students make the most of this time. In light of their busy schedules, we have set aside two days in June (6th and 10th) for them to invest time and effort on university research and start to prepare their university applications.

Students have been allocated these two days to focus on their higher education plans, which can be very difficult to manage within their normally hectic schedules. Time invested now on HE applications will allow tasks to be completed more effectively and with less stress when they return as Year 13 students in the Autumn Term.

For your reference, I am attaching a list of aims and objectives for these two days. I would also like to invite you to attend an informal meeting where I will discuss how the school is supporting students through the application and decision-making process. This will take place on Monday 10th June from 6:30 – 7:30 p.m.  I will also attempt to answer questions and address concerns that you may have. I have booked our Senior School Centre (Level 5) for this meeting. I should be grateful if you could let me know by return email (highered@shatincollege.edu.hk) if you are planning to attend so that I can arrange an alternative venue if numbers dictate.

I trust that your son/daughter will make the most of this time and will communicate with you throughout their research and initial preparation for university applications.

Please feel free to contact me if you have any immediate concerns or questions prior to the HE days.

Kind regards,

David Stott
