Welcome to Dr. Biying Shou – Parent Representative to STC School Council

Dear Parents/Guardians and Staff,

As you will be aware we recently called for nominations for the position of Parent Representative to the Sha Tin College School Council. The period for nomination closed last Friday Aug 30th.

With one nomination received we will not need to hold an election. I am therefore delighted to announce that Dr. Biying Shou will be joining our School Council effective immediately.  Dr. Shou’s personal statement is below and it is clear she will bring a wealth of experience and insight to our School Council.

Personal Statement – Dr. Biying Shou
I am currently a tenured Associate Professor at the College of Business, City University of Hong Kong. I got my Ph.D. from Northwestern University in the United States. I am a passionate teacher and have taught over 1000 undergraduate and graduate students. Currently, I am also serving as the Director of the Management Sciences Ph.D. program, and as a College of Business Board Member at my university.

Working with parents, teachers and staff, I will contribute my knowledge and experience in higher education to the STC community. It’s my great hope that our children can grow up in a supportive and open-minded environment with high critical thinking skills and social responsibilities.

I know the whole Sha Tin College community will join me in welcoming Dr. Shou to our School Council and thanking her for her willingness to work with us on the strategic development of the College.
