It has come to our attention that some of the students have been regularly using the PTSA school bus without paying for the service. Some of the students were caught on the bus by a member of our teaching staff and admitted to not paying the appropriate fees.
This issue is taken very seriously by the school. Students and their families who do pay the bus fees are subsidising free travel for those who are using the buses without paying. In addition, students who are not properly registered for the bus service will not be covered by insurance in the event of an accident.
We wish to resolve this issue positively. If your child has been taking the school bus without payment, please submit the attached application form and cheque by Friday 28 April to the PTSA administrator.
From now on, drivers will check bus passes every day. Students without a valid pass will be asked to leave the school bus and may be subject to disciplinary action. In case of lost passes, please email the PTSA administrator for a replacement as soon as possible.
As always, the safety of students travelling on the bus is our highest priority, so we would appreciate it if you could take the opportunity to remind your child to maintain orderly behaviour whilst travelling on the bus so that drivers are not distracted.
Thank you for your kind support in this matter.
