Library Soft Opening

“Refreshed, Redesigned, Renewed!” The new library’s soft opening was proudly announced by Ms. Hansen, the Librarian at Sha Tin College. From the beginning of the new term, the blaring sounds of construction could be heard all around the campus, alerting the school of its presence.

Many have been waiting for a chance to finally admire the brand new and improved layout, along with new books, which will hopefully be available before the winter holidays.

Ms. Hansen stated that “the soft-opening has given us a wonderful opportunity to introduce students to their new library and learning space.”

Utilizing constructive feedback from students and teachers alike, the previous library has been readapted and redesigned into a bright, modern, versatile library and learning space. The soft opening of the library has piqued the interests of many students searching for a quiet and undisturbed learning area, with the two collaboration rooms in particular, which quickly garnered positive feedback.

As the library continues to gain recognition, students and staff will be able to fully experience all that the library has to offer: different types and levels of seating as well as areas for quiet reflection.
