(I)GCSE Results for 2019
We are pleased to announce our 2019 results for the General Certificate of Secondary Education (GCSE) examinations and its international equivalent, the International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE).
It was with much excitement, and no doubt some nervous anticipation, that students received their results. With the Senior School team on hand to continue their support, we trust that our students will celebrate their personal achievements, as well as the achievements of their peers. Many thanks to teachers and support staff, and importantly parents, who all played a significant role in the accomplishments of our students. Each student will have followed their own learning journey over the past 5 years, and we congratulate them all, and wish them continued success in their Y12 studies.
(I)GCSE Provisional results for 2019 – Sha Tin College
As a result of reforms to the GCSE grading system in the UK, some subjects are graded on a 9 to 1 system, while others are graded A* to G. For internal purposes we may align the two systems by equating a C grade to 4/5, and an A* to 8/9, although this is an approximation. Further, with a variety of examination boards, syllabi and grading standards, we must approach comparisons with a degree of caution.
Once again, Sha Tin College students have achieved an outstanding set of examination results. The overall results show that 96% of our examination grades were awarded A* to C, and 98% of grades awarded 9 to 4.
