IB Theatre Visits
The Drama Department has kept our IB students busy recently by attending various theatre trips and making links with the global arts community.
First we went to see Touching the Void as part of the Hong Kong Arts Festival, a drama about a mountain climbing tragedy that was staged brilliantly by the Bristol Old Vic Theatre Company. Next we saw the mime artist Bill Bowers whose autobiographical stories about masculinity and identity were compelling and challenging. Finally, we supported a Year 12 in her performance of Brainstorm, a local production about the workings of the teenage brain.
It would be true to say that the class and their teachers learned a lot and we now can’t wait to see War Horse!
