Health Week Invitation – Documentary SCREENAGERS: Growing up in the Digital Age

Dear Parents,
The PTSA is very excited to be sponsoring a screening of the award-winning full feature documentary – SCREENAGERS: Growing up in the Digital Age.

In SCREENAGERS, as with her other two award-winning documentaries on mental health, filmmaker and physician Delany Ruston takes a deeply personal approach as she probes into the vulnerable corners of family life, including her own, to explore struggles over social media, video games, academics and internet addiction. Through poignant, and unexpectedly funny stories, along with surprising insights from authors, psychologists, and brain scientists, SCREENAGERS reveals how tech time impacts kids’ development and also offers solutions on how adults can empower their kids to best navigate the digital world to find balance.

This film is highly recommended as a must see for families and schools. Scheduled to coincide withHEALTH WEEK at Sha Tin College, it is our hope watching this film will encourage meaningful conversations between you and your children on tech usage and general well-being. There will be a screening at school for Year 7 and 8 students. The weekend screening is open to ALL parents and students. Please mark your calendar with the details below –
