Election of Parent Member to the Sha Tin College School Council

Dear Parents and Guardians,

I write to give notice of the election of one Parent Member to a vacancy on the Sha Tin College School Council following Peter Chu’s resignation from his term of office.

The term of office of School Council members is three years.

The election arrangements require a candidate to have a proposer. I attach a Nomination Form to enable you to propose a candidate. The candidate must indicate in writing his/her willingness to stand. They should also prepare a brief Personal Statement setting out his/her relevant experience and stating what he/she would contribute to the Council and the School.

The last date for receipt of Nomination Forms and Personal Statements is 30 August 2019 (5:00 pm). Original copies of the Nomination Form should be handed in at the School Reception, or posted to the school for the attention of the Principal’s Secretary. Personal Statements should be emailed as a Word.doc to the Principal’s Secretary at lorna@shatincollege.edu.hk

Parent Members of the School Council may not be employees of ESF.

We will be using an e-voting system, “Simply Voting” to run the election. Details of how to vote will be circulated in the event that a ballot is required. Starting from 6 September 2019 (12 noon) parents can vote by logging into the Gateway and accessing the e-voting platform via the listed hyperlinks. The e-voting will close on 13 September 2019 (12 noon). Results will be announced on 16 September 2019.
