Cancellation of all GCSE & IGCSE Examinations

Dear Year 11 Parents/Guardians and Students,

As you will have seen today from ESF all GCSE and IGCSE examinations have now been cancelled. While this is disappointing it was inevitable and at least there is now clarity moving forward in regard to examinations.

At the moment however we do not yet know how final grades will be calculated. Advice to teachers and students therefore is to continue to teach the programme and complete all coursework and classwork as planned. We anticipate further detail on this within the next week.

Students should also not ‘spring clean’ and get rid of, or recycle, any work done over the past two years. Please hold on to coursebooks and assignments until we are sure what will be needed.

The Senior Leadership are now discussing what will happen for Year 11 students in Term 3 in light of examination cancellation. Further details on this will follow in due course.
