Sha Tin College’s first ever STEAM

Dear Parents and Guardians,

We are excited to announce Sha Tin College’s first ever STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics) event. It will take place on June 20th and will involve all Year 7 students. Instead of regular lessons, students will spend the day working in groups designing, building and then racing a model car. Awards will be earned for building the fastest car and also for creativity, teamwork and working safely. The aim of the day is to improve the critical thinking, creativity and problem-solving skills of our students.

School will begin and finish at the usual time that day. All students will go to registration in their regular tutor rooms and then make their way to the school hall. Students should wear their PE uniforms for the day.
