Year 10 Subject Progress & Form Tutor 1:1 Meetings

Dear Parents/Guardians,
Year 10 Subject Progress & Form Tutor 1:1 Meetings
Recently we sent you a copy of your child’s individual Yellis results and informed you that these would be a useful point of reference as your son or daughter begins to set targets and reviews current progress in his or her IGCSE courses. Each student is responsible for setting targets and recording the meeting on a form which has already been provided to them. Please click here to see this document.
The emphasis of these Year 10 Subject Progress and Form Tutor 1:1 meetings is to develop student responsibility, independence and encourage students to take ownership of their own learning. As a result we will insist that the students make notes from the meetings and not the teacher. These meetings will take place during lesson time as negotiated by the student and subject teacher during the period 6th – 17th November 2017.
To further support this process, students will have 1:1 meetings with their tutors during the week beginning 20th November. During these tutor meetings students will review their progress sheets and set targets for improvement for next term.
We would, of course, like you to speak with your son/ daughter during this period about their perspectives and priorities and we will be encouraging all students to share their progress meeting reviews and targets with you.
Thank you in advance for your continued support.
Yours sincerely,
Mo Devlin                                                Caroline Wong
