Wellbeing @ STC

The journey of our new wellbeing model began in the 2021-2022 academic year when it was introduced during the start-of-year Professional Development sessions for all staff. Initially serving as the strategic planning framework for the Guidance & Wellbeing teams, it has undergone significant updates. The latest version was approved by Senior Leadership Team at the close of the 2023-2024 academic year.

Key updates include the introduction of action statements, providing depth to each strand of the model. One of the three key strands, ‘wellbeing curriculum’ has evolved ‘to a more encompassing ‘intellectual wellbeing’. This also aligns with a broadened perspective – from ‘student wellbeing’ to ‘community wellbeing.’ Aesthetic enhancements were also made, and the updated model has been shared with the school community in various engagements since the start of the current academic year.

The next steps include identifying opportunities to develop shared meaning and embed practices across guidance and pedagogical teams and with the various stakeholders in our school community. This evolution signifies our commitment to fostering a comprehensive and inclusive approach to wellbeing within our community.
