Dear Parents and Students of Years 10, 11 and 12

Part of the application to universities and colleges in the USA requires students to sit a SAT (Scholastic Aptitude Test). It is not relevant to any other destination. In an effort to help prepare students for this assessment we offer  PSAT (Preliminary Scholastic Aptitude Test) to all students in Years 10 to 12.The attached letter provides further information for all students in Years 10-12, who are considering further study in the USA.

The PSAT provides valuable experience for students in their Years 10 and 11 and we recommend that students take it once in either of these years. Additionally, it provides very valuable comparative and statistical information for students in Year 12. We strongly encourage all Year 12 students considering further study in the USA to take the PSAT and to use these scores as well as additional advice and support services which the College Board offers alongside of this test.
