Letter from the Principal

Dear Parents/Guardians and Students, 

The campus is starting to come back to life and it has been wonderful to welcome our Years 11, 13 and new students on campus this week. We look forward to welcoming more students into campus next week.

Thank you to those parents/guardians who participated in the e-voting process to elect a Parent Representative to the School Council. I am pleased to announce that Mr. Francis Carroll has been elected with immediate effect. Thank you to all the candidates who stood for election and congratulations to Francis who I know will be keen to ensure a strong parent voice on our School Council.

Going forward please note the following:

1) Sept 22nd is the deadline to apply for the 45% Fee Relief Grant. Please access the ESF App to apply. 91% of our parents/guardians have already applied.

2) All students coming onto campus are required to have completed the Travel and Health Declaration via the ESF App.  A handful of students have found themselves denied access to campus this week due to non-completion. Please be sure to do this declaration in advance of students coming into school.

3) For parents applying to other schools for their children please be aware that you should log-in to SMART to request a reference. Please complete and submit the Google form you are directed to. We require three weeks’ notice to prepare student references. Please also note that all references are confidential and are submitted directly to schools. We also understand that schools may request your child sit an entrance examination as part of their admissions process. It is not possible for us to administer and supervise this examination. British Council and tuition centres are able to help with these arrangements.

With the return of students to school I will now stop my weekly letters to parents.
