Key Dates for New Y7 Parents
Dear Parents and Guardians,
This letter provides you with information about some upcoming key events that are taking place at
Sha Tin College for new Year 7 students 2017-2018.
Friday 2nd June: Taster Day for current Year 6 students (students only).
This is a day for students to experience Sha Tin College. They will meet their Tutor and the other students in their tutor group and experience some lessons first-hand. All students are expected to attend and it is a very enjoyable and worthwhile day for them. Please email our Lower School Administrator, Ms Lia Ali at alil3@stconline.edu.hk if your son/daughter will not be able to attend. Students should arrive at 8.45am and the day will end at 2.40pm. They should wear their current school uniform and bring their pencil case. The students will be able to buy snacks and lunch from our cafeteria, using an Octopus card, or they can bring their own lunch. Students at SJS will be able to get their normal bus home. Parents with children at other schools will need to arrange transport home from Sha Tin College.
Tuesday 13th June: Y6 Parent information Event (parents only). (The date has been changed from 8th June)
This is an opportunity for parents to listen to a series of presentations from the Lower School team focusing on key information about Sha Tin College. This will start at 6pm finish at 7.15pm. The venue for this event will be Sha Tin Junior School Hall which is on the second floor. As part of the event our Learning Support Centre will provide information about the extra support services they provide.
I would be grateful if you could email our Lower School Administrator at alil3@stconline.edu.hk to confirm your attendance for this event by Friday 13th May.
Friday 11th August: Registration for Y7 students.

In June, you will receive the Registration pack which will include the forms which need to be completed as well as full information about this process. In order for students to receive their books and equipment, students need to submit all of the correct administration. Registration for Y7 students will take place on Friday 11th August between 2pm-4.30pm in the Sha Tin College Hall which is on the second floor. Here is the schedule for registration. Please follow your allocated time so that the system runs efficiently.
