JA Company Programme
This year, our school has entered the 2021-22 Junior Achievement Company Programme (JA CP), which is an annual business competition aimed to foster a creative spirit among its participants and offer a taster of what it is like to actively engage in the business world. Representing STC, our team iden aims to engage users in discussions on the LGBTQ+ community to promote a more diverse and inclusive society. As IB students, we are taught from a young age to be internationally-minded and welcoming, and we aim to achieve this by proffering opportunities to promote social inclusion, especially since we’ve recognised areas in the RSE curriculum that could benefit from more exposure to topics such as sexual orientation and gender identity.
Our plan is to make a card game along with educational posters to support the Relationships and Sex Education (RSE) curriculum. The card game will not only serve as an enjoyable and interactive activity, but it will also spark engaging and thought-provoking conversations to increase understanding of the LGBTQ+ community. We also plan to offer visually striking and inspiring posters which will provide more in-depth information on said topics. These products will be available for purchase to all students – either students who already identify as being part of the LGBTQ+ community, or those want to show their support and alliance with the community. We look forward to sharing our products with you soon!
