I/GCSE Exam Results 2022 – Sha Tin College
We are pleased to announce our June 2022 results for the General Certificate of Secondary Education (GCSE) and its international equivalent, the International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE).
For these I/GCSE students, the awarding of these grades marks the end of a significant stage in their learning journey. We would like to congratulate these students on coping with adjustments to assessments, the late confirmation of scheduled examinations and importantly, their resilience in coping with the anxieties of living in a COVID world. With all this to consider, we are immensely proud of the June 2022 I/GCSE results, and know that you join us in congratulating all our students on a remarkable effort.
(I)GCSE results June 2022
As a result of reforms to the GCSE grading system in the UK, some subjects are graded on a 9 to 1 system, while others are graded A* to U. For internal purposes we may align the two systems by equating a C grade to 4/5, and an A* to 8/9, although this is an approximation. Furthermore, with a variety of examination boards, syllabi and grading standards, we must approach comparisons with caution.
Once again, Sha Tin College students have achieved an outstanding set of examination results. The overall results show that:
• For the examinations graded A*-U; 94% of the grades awarded to our students were A* to C.
• For the examinations graded 9-1; 98% of the grades awarded to our students were 9 to 4.
Congratulations to our I/GCSE class of 2022. We wish them many successes as they embark on the next stage of their educational journey.
Best Regards
Kate Rogers
