Dear Parents/Guardians and Students,
We hope everyone is safe and well during this challenging time. As the school continues to remain closed, the HE department has decided to change our normal Year 12 Higher Education Evening usually held in the main hall to a web-based video conference using ZOOM. This will now be held at 6:00 p.m. Tuesday 28th April.
Ms. Lam and I have already started to conduct online individual consultations with the students and there will also be two days of school time dedicated to the HE process straight after the end of year examinations in June (still scheduled at the time of writing this letter). This is all planned to ensure that they are on track with their research and are ready for the application process before they return to begin their studies in Year 13.
The ZOOM webinar will address the following:
- 6.00 – 6.15 p.m. Introduction and Wellbeing – Ms Parry, Head of Senior School
- 6:15 – 7:00 p.m. Overview and Focus of STC HE Support Programme – Mr. Stott and Ms. Lam
- 7:00 p.m. FAQ’s
We would like to conclude by emphasising that this event is an important part of our parent-school communication regarding your son/daughter’s progress towards their future and we encourage you to contact us before the meeting with questions or concerns regarding the university application process by e-mailing our department – firstname.lastname@example.org. I have also attached our Higher Education Leaflet that helps explain the higher education process here at Sha Tin College. Please try to read this prior to the meeting.
We look forward to seeing many of you on Tuesday 28th April 2020. We have asked our IT team to set up and invite all students/parents and guardians to the meeting and they will email you shortly with full instructions of how to register for the event.
