Sha Tin College students have once again achieved an outstanding set of (I)GCSE examination results.
The Sha Tin community is very proud of the hard work and dedication our students have displayed in achieving such high levels of academic success. Although we profile the overall results for the school in this summary, these results are comprised of many individual students achieving high levels of personal success. The support of our staff and encouragement from parents has been incredible in helping the students to realise their significant academic potential.
- 62.6% of qualifications were an A-A* grade. These results are an improvement on last year
- The A*-A results are the second highest in Sha Tin College history
- 95.7% of students achieved 5 A*- C. This is the usual measure for students to progress onto the IB Diploma course or other Level 3 University entrance qualifications
Particular congratulations go to the Art, Drama, Music and PE departments where 98 students achieved 100% A*-C grades in their respective IGCSEs. In ICT, 100% of students achieved a minimum A* pass and 61% of ICT students have earned UCAS points for the future University applications, due to the nature of the course. Congratulations also go to students and teachers in PRS, French, History, Science and Geography, where over 45% of students achieved an A* grade. In English, a staggering 99% of students achieved an A* – C grade in both Language and Literature IGCSEs, a testament to the hard work and support from our English and Learning Support teaching staff.
