Climbing to the Top

Sha Tin College’s second 24hr Climbathon event took place on 28th October at GoNature climbing gym. The event, created in 2014, aims to raise money for Climbers Against Cancer, an international charity organisation that funds cancer research. Led by the Climbathon team, sixty students and a group of teachers endured twenty-four tiring but eventful hours of climbing.

This year’s Climbathon team consists of a group of Y12 students: Iris Tang, Theo Hui, Enpei Zhang, Sami Wong, and Sean Kwan.

“As a regular climber, I saw great interest and potential in this event,” says Theo Hui 12G2, “I’m very proud to say the event was successful, and we’re very thankful for everyone’s donations and participations.”

The climbing even raised $29,937 in total. All of these funds will be donated to Cancers Against Charity.

Here’s to another successful Climbathon next year!
