Celebrating the end of IGCSEs with class, literally.

On Wednesday the 7th of September, parents, teachers, and Y12 students all came together to celebrate the iGCSE results achieved by last year’s Y11 cohort. The students, who have now just started the IB Diploma Programme, had achieved the best results within the English Schools Foundation.

The evening included speeches and performances from various teachers and students. One memorable speech was given by Jennifer Cheung, an alumna who has had first-hand experience of the pursuance of a career path. She talked about her dream of being a teacher, which was inspired by the significant impact her teachers had when she was a student in STC.

The event also showcased a selection of GCSE artwork by the year group, allowing both students and parents to appreciate the stunning artworks created over the past two years.

“Not only did it allow student’s works to be recognized,” Jennifer Yu commented, “but it was also a positive atmosphere, reminding us that we are all simultaneously striving towards the same goal- excellence.”

Special congratulations go to 5 students for their PTSA Awards. The award for Academic Excellence was awarded to Jethro Chan, Andy Yau, and Dione Hodges; the award for Academic Progress went to Alice Fan; and the award for Overall Contribution went to Jennifer Yu.
