Best of Six

Dear Parents,

I wonder what skills you would want your son or daughter to have by the time they finish their Secondary Education? Would you want them to be able to deliberate, to create, to reflect, to agitate or to make judgments? Or would it be to clarify points of view, to entertain, to persuade, to inspire?  Or to be an excellent communicator, collaborator and leader?  When you consider this list of skills, they are all absolutely vital in equipping young people for the demanding, fast and ever-changing workplace.

It is our belief that all of these skills can be achieved through study in the Arts.  The Sha Tin College Arts Faculty would like to invite you to ‘Best of Six’ which will hopefully give you a small insight into the world of Group 6 subjects.

This event will be taking place on Monday 14th March at 7pm in the main school hall.  It will feature music from the STC Orchestra, STC Choir, the STC Chinese Orchestra, drama performances from Year 11 students, a variety of dance performances showcasing a range of dance styles and films written, directed, edited and starring our own students.  There will also be a display of some of the amazing art work produced in school.

The cost of tickets is $80 for adults and students. This cost will include refreshments.  Tickets will be on sale from Monday 7th March from the White House at break times. Payment is by Octopus card only, no cash or cheques.

We hope you are able to attend what promises to be an exciting and enjoyable event and that you will continue to support the Arts.
