My experience working at Hong Kong Arts Centre was a valuable opportunity to gain insight into working at a non-profit art institution. Through this internship, I was able to gain a variety of skills for working in a professional environment, including communication, time management and research skills.

During my time at Hong Kong Arts Centre, I had the opportunity to understand the inner workings of the centre, learning about the different programmes they provide to the general public. I performed a range of tasks, including data analysis and EDO organisation. In addition, I completed an individual project where I drafted a 10-page naming rights agreement for a sponsor. This was especially challenging as I had no prior experience with contract writing and I had to conduct a lot of research in order to learn the relevant legal clauses and jargon.

As Hong Kong Arts Centre is a non-profit arts institution, I found this internship meaningful as it allowed me to contribute to its goal of making art accessible to the general public. Overall, I am grateful for the skills and knowledge I have gained during my experience.
