Academic Responsibility

Dear Y12 Students, Parents and Guardians,

I hope this email finds you well after a relaxing half term break.

This morning I spoke to all Y12 students regarding their academic responsibilities for their IB Diplomas. This is an important topic as it requires students to actively engage in their understanding of the processes and procedures regarding assessment, which impacts on the awarding of both the IB Diploma and the IB Careers-Related Diploma.

You will find attached two documents:

• Sha Tin College Yr12 – 13 Student Agreement
• STC Academic Responsibility Handbook

I ask that you read through the handbook together over the next week, ensuring that you understand the requirements of diploma assessment and procedure. If you have any questions do not hesitate to drop by my office, give me a call or send me an email.

You son/daughter will be given a hard copy of the agreement document next Tuesday to sign and date, so we know that the handbook has been read and understood. This is standard practice at IB World Schools.
