CUHK Medicine Professor and STC Alumni Shared Insights with Aspiring Medics
On 3rd October, we were honoured to have a distinguished guest and a group of accomplished alumni from The Chinese Univeristy of Hong Kong (CUHK) – Medicine visit our school, offering our students an exclusive look into the world of medicine.
Professor Albert Li Enlightened Aspiring Medics
Professor Albert Li, Assistant Dean (Student Affairs) of the Faculty of Medicine at The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK), spoke to 80 of our Year 10 to Year 12 students who aspire to enter the medical field. His talk provided invaluable insights into the medicine programmes at CUHK, equipping our future doctors with a clearer vision of their academic journey and the diverse career paths in medicine.
Alumni Shared the CUHK Medicine Experience
A cohort of our esteemed alumni, including Ryan ORR, Nathan HUI, Isaac LEE, Darren LAU (MED3), Benedict PANG (MED2), Isaac LEUNG, Tate WAI, Adrian AU YEUNG, Samuel NG, Meagon LO, Agatha WONG, Jeffrey LEE, and Jason TAM (MED1), returned to share their personal journeys. Their stories offered a firsthand look into the CUHK Medicine community, such as daily life as a medical student, and the wealth of internship opportunities available.
Interactive Session with Year 13 Students
Twelve of our Year 13 students were privileged to engage in a networking and inquiry session with Professor Li and the alumni. This exclusive interaction allowed them to delve deeper into topics such as interview strategies during the application season, providing them with a glimpse into the vibrant university life that awaits.
We are immensely grateful to Professor Li and our dedicated alumni for their generous sharing of knowledge and experiences. This informative session not only inspired our students but also provided them with valuable insights as they navigate their educational and career choices.
