Career Placement at The Mills – Yi Shuang TAING Y13

I’ve just finished my one week internship at The Mills and I really enjoyed it. On my first day there, I felt really welcomed by my supervisor as he was touring me around the office and showing me all the equipment and machines they had. Throughout the week I was tasked with different textile activities such as preparing materials for their workshops, experimenting with natural dyes, helping to plan and ideate new workshop ideas for them. I was also able to make different items that I got to keep for myself as well such as a cardholder, pencil case and plushies. Overall, I had a great time working there even though I was very nervous about it at first.
