Book Week T-shirt 2016
Dear Year 7 and Year 8 Parents/Guardians
Sha Tin College will be hosting its annual Book Week, week commencing 29 February 2016. As part of our celebrations, and to promote a love of reading within our student body, we would like all Year 7 and 8 students to purchase a custom made white T-shirt, with a STC Book Week logo on the back. Year 7 students will decorate their T-shirts with a design linked to this year’s theme (Identity) using fabric markers during an English lesson and Year 8 students will create a digital design using computers in an English lesson, and then print their designs onto their T-shirts during a Design & Technology lesson. All students will then wear their T-shirts to school on World Book Day which takes place on Thursday 3 March 2016.
In order to prepare for this event, we would like all Year 7 and 8 students to order and purchase their T-shirts before Friday 8 January 2016. This will ensure they arrive in time at school so the students can prepare their T-shirts, ready for Book Week. The cost of the T-shirt will be 67 dollars.
To place an order for a T-shirt, please could you:
- Sign the attached declaration form and ask your child to return it to the Whitehouse by this Friday 8 January, absolute latest. Please specify the necessary size.
- Ensure that your child’s school Octopus card is charged with enough money so that it can be debited for payment.
If you do not wish to purchase a T-shirt with the Book Week logo on, then your child will be expected to have purchased a plain white T-shirt by the first day back to school after Chinese New Year.
