2021-2022 – HK$2,500 Student Grant

Dear Parents/Guardians,

As you will be aware, EDB has announced another round of the Student Grant Scheme. This makes students attending a Secondary, Primary, or Kindergarten school in Hong Kong eligible for a HK$2,500 payment.  Please click here to see the information from the Education Bureau (EDB).  To ensure the smooth processing of your application, please read the following information carefully.

HOW TO APPLY 

For parents/guardians who APPLIED for the grant previously:

1. A hardcopy of your previous Application Form B with pre-printed student information, parent name, bank account details, parent mobile phone number and email address, will be distributed to your child by their tutor on Monday Oct 4th.
2. Check the details on the form are correct.
3. Tick the box on the form to confirm the language for the follow-up SMS notification.
4. If there is no change to the information on the form, put a tick in the confirmation box at the bottom of the form.
5. Sign the form.
6. If there is a mistake in the pre-printed information, please amend the information using block letters in blue/black pen and DO NOT use correction tape.  Parents/guardians must sign next to the correction. Leave the confirmation box at the bottom of the form blank.
7. Once the form is completed, your child should return the original form to their tutor by Thursday October 7th.

For parents/guardians APPLYING for the FIRST TIME (All Year 7 and new students)

1. A hardcopy of Application Form A will be distributed to your child by their tutor on Monday Oct 4th.
2. Please complete the form, then sign and date the form.
3. Pay particular attention to the correct completion of Bank Account details. Please see the sample in the linked document above. BANK CODEs must be correct: “003” Standard Chartered, “004” HSBC, “024” Hang Seng Bank.  EDB will only accept sole name bank accounts.
4. Please use blue/black pen and DO NOT use correction tape.
5. Once the form is completed, your child should return the original form to their tutor by Thursday October 7th.
