1:1 Laptop Programme for Parents of Students Joining Sha Tin College in Year 7, August 2019
Dear Parents/Guardians,
Congratulations on your son/daughter being offered a place at Sha Tin College. Following our previous communications, you will be aware that Sha Tin College is a 1:1 laptop school. In Years 7-9 we operate a single-model school-supported laptop programme, with 3 years full warranty and accidental damage insurance. We have refined the programme over the last six years and believe there are significant benefits to this single-model approach.
You will need to purchase the current school model, the HP Probook 430 G6, by using the order form included in this pack. Please return the order form and payment by April 29th to the Resource and IT Office or Reception Desk. Please note that cheques should be made payable to Sha Tin College, with your son or daughter’s name written clearly on the back of the cheque, along with your phone number.
Following this, the school will place the order with HP, the laptops will then be prepared with the software that we require and subsequently distributed at a series of laptop evenings from the 27th to 29th August. Details of these evenings will be provided later in this term.
